More Information

The Creek County Criminal Justice Center is a privately held company that was opened in July 2005. It is located in Sapulpa in Oklahoma. The Center processes over four thousand inmates by counseling them on substance abuse and family issues. Detention officers at the center go through some training on their jobs before being allowed to work on their own. They have to be certified by the state in the first year of their employment.

Inmates at the center have commissary accounts whereby their family members are allowed to deposit money into these accounts. The money is in the form of money orders which are sent by mail to the center. The money can also be directly brought to the center and then it is deposited to the inmates’ account using an ATM. The purpose of this money is to take care of the inmates. They are allowed to use this money to buy hygienic goods and services.

Some schedules are always set up for the visitation of the inmates. The schedules describe the time and also the days that one can be able to visit an inmate. Onsite video visitation is also available on scheduled days. A link is always provided to make it easier for one to make prior appointments before the visiting date.

In the Creek Count Criminal Center inmates are given an opportunity to keep in touch with family and friends. They are allowed to have a mail through which they receive and send messages. An address is issued whereby you will be able to communicate with the inmates. All messages are opened and checked by the guards to avoid illegal items from reaching the inmates. Items not allowed are communicated to anyone connecting with the inmates.

The Creek Ministerial Alliance together with the local churches ensures that the inmates’ spiritual needs are met. Spiritual services are held a number of times at the facility anytime they are requested. The day room area at the center has a stock of updated law books and other lawful documents. It gives the inmates an opportunity to make legal requests. Their Attorneys are allowed to visit any day of the week.

In addition to these, the jail has a contract on an inmate’s medical needs. Anytime an inmate visits a medical facility the cost is deducted from their accounts. In cases where the inmate does not have enough funds, the cost goes to the facility. The center ensures that their inmates receive legitimate medications which are up to date. The center’s medical department always takes care of an individual’s mental health. Inmates are also offered recreational activities and time to converse with fellow inmates.
