Stutsman County Correctional Center (SCCC) has the mandate of holding inmates awaiting trial and transfer to other jails. It is located at 205 6th St SE in Jamestown, ND. Stutsman County Correctional Center is a facility for adults, and it accepts inmates from other smaller towns surrounding Stutsman who do not have an independent lock up space. More often than not, inmates remain there for less than two years.

The jail receives new detainees daily, which poses the danger of overcrowding. However, it has various ways of managing them. Above all, this jail has a commissary which sells various products to inmates. Such products include shoes, books, food, clothing, shavers, soap, and other hygienic products. However, the use of the commissary is on condition that the inmate has funds in their commissary account. It is also worth noting that the facility has a yearly inspection by the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. This is for certification that it is up to date with the necessary rules and regulations.
