Franklin County Jail built in 1914 as a rehabilitation center; it is a historic building consisting of the two-story masonry structure. The entrance is design in a Romanesque arch while the roof is flat obscure with a crenelated parapet. Franklin Jail located in the northwestern state of Arkansas, Franklin County and city of Ozark. Franklin jail is a maximum security facility and operates under sheriff's department. Hold inmates ranging from low-level crime to high-level offenses.
The jail block divided into pods which consist of the individual cell and common areas. Towering concrete walls surrounded the common area outside — with tables made of solid steel and four chairs attached to each. Each compartment (cell) holds two to three inmates and has a window is made of steel. They also provided medical facilities like a nutrient supplement and minor injuries. Visiting days are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm, all visitors should abide by rules, they are required to carry a valid government ID and free from any felony probation. Those below 18 years should be accompanied by a guardian to be allowed in.
