The Roland jail located at the state of Oklahoma county of Sequoyah and the city of Roland. Roland jail is a low-security facility and under control of Roland police department. The policed department operates and maintains the jail. It acts as a temporary facility to hold new detainees before their transfer to the new prison. It also contains both female and male inmates serving a short term of less than one year and also holds a person when arrested. Most inmates are convicted of misdemeanors crime like assault or fight.
Security inside the prison is heavy since Roland police maintain its center operation. The jail also has a security camera that monitors the prisons movement and electronic detector. During prisoner transfer, he or she is handcuffed and shackled. The jail building is of stone and different housing block facilities like kitchens, cells, commissary and medical. The cells have a stone wall, a barred door locked from outside, hold two –three individual.
Prisoners are provided with basic facilities such as shower, health facilities like a nutrient supplement and a well-balanced die three times a day. They are also allowed one hour in a day for recreation like playing cards, reading and watching television. A prisoner can receive money in their commissary account in cash, money order, check and commissary day are held once in a week .inmates relatives or friend can also deposit directly on prisoner account.
Anyone with a valid government ID and free from any felony probation is allowed to visit the prisoner. The individual below the age of 18 should be accompanied by a legal guardian to be let in. Visiting are held every day from 7.00 am to 7 00 pm except on Saturday, Sunday and holidays which end at 3.00 pm. Inmates are allowed to use a cell phone, but only to the listed member, the call can only last for 30 minutes and the cost is on the receiver.
