It has individuals who oversee the operations such as the administrators and guards who monitor the inmates and the facility itself. Catahoula Parish Jail is a correctional facility that has been one of the most dependable jails in the state of Louisiana over the past twenty years.

This jail was built forty years ago when the state of Louisiana was looking for a convenient place to house local inmates. Catahoula Parish Jail currently houses inmates who have been convicted of criminal offenses in the city of Harrisonburg and the county of Catahoula. During the past twenty years, Catahoula Parish Jail has been evolving into a modern correctional facility. It has made improvements in it’s polices, equipment, surveillance technology and overall facility. As a result, it is among the most secure correctional facilities in the state of Louisiana.
