Archuleta County Inmate Information

On April 24, 2015, the Archuleta County Detention Facility flooded and was soon after deeded uninhabitable. The Archuleta County Sheriff's Office has been transporting all of our inmates to the La Plata County Detention Facility in Durango, Colorado. Those who are serving sentences or not able to bond are transported to La Plata County Detention Facility.

Objectives

The primary objective of the Archuleta Detention Facility is to maintain a clean, safe and secure environment for all inmates and detention staff. Detention staff also ensures court appearances of those accused of unlawful behavior prior to adjudication, and administers court ordered sanctions / punishments to those individuals convicted of a crime.
