More Information
Arkansas Department of Corrections manages omega Technical Violator Center. The low-security state prison holds adult inmates sentenced for crimes they committed within Arkansas State. Inmates are grouped according to the nature of the crime they committed, their health status, past crime history, as well as the length of their sentence.
Omega Technical Violator Center is dedicated to preparing offenders to lead a better life after completing their sentence. On that account, the jail offers multiple vocational teaching programs for inmates who wish to develop new ideas, as well as those who want to further their studies while serving their sentence. While the professional programs are available to all inmates, priority is given to those who show an inclination to study. The programs lower the inmates’ recidivism rate.
The technical violator center has various facilities that help inmates lead a comfortable life while serving their sentence. It has a well-equipped health facility that provides various medical services. Also, the facility has a dietary center, an entertainment joint, a fitness center, library, inmate telephone, and a chapel.
The correction center has secure dormitories that house all inmates held at the facility. Each dormitory has bunks, sinks, a bath area, lavatories, and metal closets where inmates store their items. Each inmate owns a cabinet. Correctional officers supervise the dormitories at night.
Just like the ordinary correction centers, Omega Technical Violator Centre has regulations that each inmate must observe. For instance, all inmates must wear the correction center’s uniform, keep their belongings well-ordered, and carry their identification cards. Inmates are subject to random searches, have a set time to eat, and their movements within the facility are monitored. Inmates who go against the correction facility’s regulations may be isolated or lose certain privileges.
Friends and family members can visit their incarcerated loved ones at the facility’s specified time. Besides visiting, the family members can send commissary items, greeting cards, money, newspapers, and other permitted items to their loved ones serving a sentence. However, there are strict procedures that the family members need to follow before visiting or sending an object to the Omega Technical Violator Center.
