Trussville Jail holds adult inmates arrested, awaiting trial, or serving a sentence of misdemeanor offenses like disorderly conduct, reckless driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, and petty theft.
Moreover, the low-security jail can hold inmates who commit different demeanors like failure to appear in court, trespass, domestic violence, and many more offenses. Demeanor convicts can serve up to six months of jail in Trussville Jail.
Besides demeanors, Trussville jail holds suspects of felony crimes like arson, murder, burglary, obstruction of justice, sexual assault, treason, blackmail, forgery, tax evasion, and animal cruelty. The jail holds suspects for a maximum of 48 hours at the prison. Inmates are housed in various areas conditional on the nature of their crime.
